From November 2022 HM Land Registry will be moving from paper-based electronic applications to fully digital applications.
What does this mean for you?
From November 2022, you will no longer be able to submit PDF‘s or scanned copies of AP1s for changes to existing titles to HM Land Registry. Instead, you will need to use one of the following to digitally submit your AP1’s:
You can use the Digital Registration Service now or you can use a fully integrated digital API case management system.
As Hoowla is fully integrated with HMRC and HM Land Registry, and has been since 2016, when you submit your SDLT to HMRC from Hoowla your SDLT5 certificate is automatically attached to your AP1 ready for registration with HM Land Registry.
Hoowla’s seamless HM Land Registry integration makes your due diligence easy. As well as being able to carry out bankruptcy searches on individuals with the click of a button, your certificate is also automatically attached to your case. Company level reporting also allows you to see which cases have or haven’t had bankruptcy searches completed.
Avoid retyping and minimise human error with Hoowla’s automatic legal form filling software. The more of Hoowla you use, the more pre-filling is implemented.
When a problem arises with an application you want instant support to rectify the situation; Hoowla can guarantee this, can HM Land Registry?
On Hoowla you can set reminders for your OS1’s expiry dates as a business, avoiding needless frustration.
Hoowla provides checklists which reveal missing documents.
How do you know, with the utmost certainty, your AP1 has arrived at HM Land Registry? Hoowla provides you with a submission receipt.
Whether you need to update your AP1 information, send supporting documents or send a direct message to HM Land Registry, you can reply to any requestion from Hoowla.
With Hoowla all your resources can be in one place. We have APIs and webhooks to allow any software to integrate with us even your case management system. No one has ever chosen this option however, because Hoowla provides an award winning, conveyancing case management system.
As we mentioned earlier, we have been fully integrated with HMRC and HM Land Registry since 2016. In 2021, we submitted over 33,500 digital AP1’s to HM Land Registry.
