If your firm utilises software from CLIO, we can conduct a thorough data migration to the Hoowla system.
CLIO is a Canadian-based Case Management System, accessible through a web browser and designed to serve multiple tenants. However, due to its web-based nature, complexities arise when clients of CLIO require copies of their data. The absence of a single centralised database containing a firm’s data prevents CLIO from providing a complete backup of the firm’s information. As an alternative, they recommend that clients produce and export a series of reports from the Clio reporting web page, which, while not ideal, can still be utilised for conversion.
It’s important to note that the CLIO system lacks functionality for the firm’s own accounts, distinguishing it from most mainstream legal practice management software. A generic accounting product like Xero needs to be integrated to run a firm using CLIO. Although CLIO and Xero offer a certain level of integration, it falls short of providing a complete legal accounts and practice management system. Thus, the data from the CLIO system will be combined with that from Xero to create a unified and integrated dataset for your firm.
